What to expect ?

Cognitive behavioural therapist is evidence based treatment and is time-limited, between 6 and 20 sessions depending on what you feel is right for you, it’s a problem-solving approach and you will learn skills to reach your goals.

Each session will be 60 minutes and is provided either weekly or fortnightly. Sometimes often there will be things to do between sessions to enhance the quality and effectiveness of therapy.

During our initial sessions, we will conduct a thorough assessment to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges you're facing. Together, we will explore the factors that have led you to seek therapy and collaboratively establish your therapeutic goals.

At this point, we will discuss how to move forward and treatment options so you know what treatment will involve before you embark fully into the treatment section of therapy. If you decide CBT is not right for you, I can provide recommendations of other therapies and therapists from the wide network I'm involved in.
